Robert Lewandowski a key figure in Barça’s treble-winning season, spoke to Mundo Deportivo about what to expect next year — and he isn’t sugarcoating the reality.
“It wasn’t easy for the coach, and I think Hansi spoke to all the players and he knew that if we wanted to win titles, we needed players at their best,” Lewandowski explained.
“That’s why many of us played at a high level this season. But after a year like this, next season might be more difficult. Expectations will be higher.”
Lewandowski believes that mental preparation will be key to dealing with the added pressure. “If we’re ready mentally, we can use the experience we gained to handle the challenges. But we also know that every team will now want to beat us — we need to be ready for that,” he concluded. The warning is clear: Barcelona will need to fight even harder to stay on top.
