Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, India, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Prithvirajsing Roopun, this afternoon, at the State House in Réduit.
In a statement, Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis, said that the meeting with the President was very cordial and enriching. He underlined that discussions focused on the existing bilateral ties and on ways to further reinforce relations between India and Mauritius.
Developing business opportunities in Africa by positioning Mauritius at the forefront was also discussed, he pointed out. Shri Fadnavis became the youngest Chief Minister of Maharashtra at the age of 44.
He is a law degree holder, and he completed his post-graduation degree in Business Management. He also holds a diploma in Methods and Techniques of Project Management.
The Deputy Chief Minister is known for his intellectual acumen and professional integrity. He was awarded the Best Parliamentarian Award by Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in 2002-2003.
