Africa-Press – Mauritius. English Premier League club Manchester City announced on Thursday that goalkeeper Ederson will miss the remainder of the season.

The Brazilian international, Ederson Santana de Moraes, known as Ederson, will miss the Premier League championship decider game against West Ham United on Sunday and the FA Cup final against Manchester United on May 25 due to a minor fracture in his right eye socket.

The 30-year-old had to leave the field injured after colliding with Cristian Romero during Tuesday’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur, which ended 2-0 in favor of Manchester City.

The reigning champions Manchester City have to win in the last game of the season against West Ham to secure the 2023-24 English Premier League title.

Ederson joined Man City from Portuguese side Benfica in 2017 to help the Sky Blues win five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and the 2023 UEFA Champions League trophy.
