Africa-Press – Mauritius. On February 6, the government of Mauritius deposited its instrument of Accession to the Hague Agreement, thus becoming the 70th contracting party to the 1999 Act and the 78th member of the Hague Union, bringing the total number of countries covered by the International Design System to 95.

The Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement and the Madrid Protocol will enter into force on May 6, 2023, from this date on it will be easier to register industrial designs, not only in Mauritius but also in the countries that are part of the Hague System.

The Hague System provides a practical business solution for registering up to 100 designs in 95 countries through a single and cost-effective procedure.
