The University of Technology, Mauritius (UTM) held its 41st Convocation Ceremony, awarding 545 graduates with doctoral, degree, and diploma certificates. Minister of Health and Wellness, Anil Kumar Bachoo, attended the event, emphasizing UTM’s commitment to producing skilled graduates for the workforce. The ceremony included two sessions, recognizing achievements across multiple disciplines.

A total of 545 graduates, having successfully completed their respective academic programmes, were awarded doctoral, degree, and diploma certificates yesterday during the 41st Convocation Ceremony of the University of Technology, Mauritius (UTM) at the auditorium of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Moka.
The Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Anil Kumar Bachoo, attended the first session of the ceremony, during which 308 graduands were conferred with their qualifications. The cohort comprised three doctoral graduates from the Doctoral School, 159 graduates from the School of Business, Management and Finance, and 146 graduates from the School of Health Sciences.
A second session of the convocation was held in the afternoon, during which 237 graduands received their respective awards. This cohort included 90 graduates from the School of Sustainable Development and Tourism as well as 147 graduates from the School of Innovative Technologies and Engineering.
The convocation ceremony marked an important milestone in the academic and professional journeys of these graduands. It also underscored the UTM’s role in preparing skilled graduates to respond to the evolving needs of the workforce.
