Mauritius has been enhancing its healthcare services through international collaborations, particularly in specialized fields such as craniofacial and maxillofacial surgery. The involvement of Indian specialists reflects a growing trend of medical missions aimed at addressing complex health issues in the region. These initiatives not only provide immediate care but also build local capacity through knowledge transfer and training for local healthcare professionals. Such partnerships are crucial for improving healthcare access and quality in Mauritius, especially for patients with intricate medical needs.
