The Minister of Financial Services and Good Governance, Mr Mahen Kumar Seeruttun participated in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event of the National Insurance Company (NIC), on 11 May 2022, during which an electrical wheel chair was donated to Mr Louis Martial Nobin at his residence in Bambous Virieux.
The electric wheel chair will help to increase the mobility of Mr Nobin. Both legs of Mr Nobin were amputated because of an illness two years ago. He used to be a fisherman before he lost both legs.
The Chief Government Whip, Ms Naveena Ramyad; the Parliamentary Private Secretary, Ms Teenah Jutton; and the of Chairman of the NIC, Mr Vikash Peerun, were also present on the occasion.
The donation was in line with the NIC’s CSR initiative of contributing to the socio-economic development, welfare and well-being of the people of Mauritius, and local communities.
