Africa-Press – Mauritius. The pass rate for the National Certificate of Education (NCE) examinations 2025 stands at 70.43% for the Republic of Mauritius, announced the Director of the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate, Mr Serge Ng Tat Chung today in Réduit. This year’s performance reflects an improvement over the 2024 pass rate, which was 69.05%.

A total of 15 047 candidates sat for the examinations across the Republic of Mauritius. Girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass rate of 73.65%, compared to 66.93% for boys.

Mr Ng Tat Chung noted that students achieved strong performances in subjects such as Arts and Design, Social and Modern Studies and French, as well as in optional languages including Kreol Morisien. A Customer Care Desk will remain operational until Saturday 06 December 2025, to address queries, complaints, and suggestions from parents.

Mauritius

Total number of candidates: 14 232
Overall pass rate: 71.16%
Boys: 6 789 candidates with a pass rate of 67.85%
Girls: 7 443 candidates with a pass rate of 74.18%
Rodrigues

Total number of candidates: 806
Overall pass rate: 57.94%
Boys: 418 candidates with a pass rate of 52.39%
Girls: 388 candidates with a pass rate of 63.92%
Agalega

Total number of candidates: 9
Overall pass rate: 44.44%
Boys: 2 candidates
Girls: 7 candidates
