Africa-Press – Mauritius. Dr Navin Ramgoolam made a speech at the mobilisation meeting of sympathisers of the Labour Party on Friday in Ébène. He referred to various historical events, linked with the party, which he linked to what’s going on in Mauritius today. Dr Navin Ramgoolam said, speaking of Guy Rozemont, that people should always remember the heroes. “There will always be some to stand up and fight. They should not be forgotten,” he said.

He added that today, Mauritians have lost their liberty. “There is no more democracy. The country is facing a mortal danger,” he underlined. He also insisted that the next general elections are as important as the general elections of 1967.

Speaking after the party’s May Day mobilisation meeting in Ebène, PTr President said that the countdown to the May Day mobilisation is on, declared Patrick Assirvaden on Friday 12 April.A fortnight before the mobilisation, Patrick Assirvaden is convinced that the PTr electorate will turn out in force.
