Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Indiana Pacers 103-91 in Game 7 of the NBA Finals to be crowned champions of the 2024–25 season.

In Game 7 of the NBA Finals at Paycom Center, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with a double-double, recording 29 points and 12 assists.

Jalen Williams had 20 points, Chet Holmgren had 18 points, while Alex Caruso and Cason Wallace each scored 10 points.

Bennedict Mathurin had a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Pascal Siakam and T.J. McConnell had 16-point performances for the Indiana Pacers.

Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton was forced to leave the game in the first quarter of the game with a right leg injury.

This marks the franchise’s second NBA championship. The first came in 1979 when the team was known as the Seattle SuperSonics, before relocating to Oklahoma City in 2008.

Meanwhile, Gilgeous-Alexander became the first player in 12 years to win both NBA MVP and Finals MVP after Thunder run.
