Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, effected a site visit, today, at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, to take stock of the quality of service provided to passengers.
The visit was followed by a meeting comprising representatives from, amongst others, the Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd; Airport Terminal Operations Ltd; Passport and Immigration Office; Ministry of Health and Wellness; and Customs of the Mauritius Revenue Authority.
The objective of the meeting was to look into the procedures involved in the handling of passengers by all concerned stakeholders in order to enhance passenger experience as it impacts on the image of Mauritius as a tourist destination.
A number of observations were made and stakeholders present were invited to take remedial actions required so as to work towards better service delivery which includes: welcoming and assisting passengers; check-in and immigration procedures; health clearance; baggage handling; and floor management.
