Africa-Press – Mauritius. The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan, was met today by the Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport Mauritius. The President of Seychelles is in Mauritius in the context of the Commemoration of the 189th Anniversary of the Abolition of Slavery.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Housing and Land Use Planning, Minister of Tourism, Mr Louis Steven Obeegadoo, several ministers, and other dignitaries were also present to welcome Mr Wavel Ramkalawan, who will be in Mauritius till 03 February.
In the evening, President Ramkalawan will attend a dinner hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister. During his stay, he will also visit the Intercontinental Slavery Museum and attend several functions.
