The pass rate for the Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC) examinations for the year 2025 for the Republic of Mauritius stands at 76.90%, indicating a better performance over the 76.66% recorded in 2024,” said the Director of the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES), Mr Serge Ng Tat Chung, today in Réduit.
A total of 12,281 candidates sat for the examinations across the Republic of Mauritius. Girls recorded a higher success rate, achieving 80.38% while boys attained 73.48%. The success rate among Zone d’Éducation Prioritaire (ZEP) schools stands at 45%.
The Director of the MES lauded the overall performance of this year, featuring high passing rate in subjects such as French, English, Kreol Morisien, Kreol Rodrige, and Science.
Furthermore, some 1,332 candidates are eligible for reassessment. A Customer Care Desk is operational at the headquarters of the MES as from today to assist parents and for those willing to opt for remarking.
Regarding the 2,817 students of Grade 5 who took part in the PSAC exams, the pass rate stands at 89.83%.

Boys: 355 candidates with a pass rate of 79.72%
Girls: 353 candidates with a pass rate of 90.08%

Boys: 1 candidate with a pass rate of 100%
Girls: 6 candidates with a pass rate of 83%
