Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Regional Director for the Sub-Saharan African Region, Mr Moses Anibaba, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Prime Minister (VPM), Minister of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun, yesterday, at the MITD House in Phoenix.
Mr Moses Anibaba was appointed regional director for British Council’s operations in Sub Saharan Africa in July 2017. Prior to this, he worked as director private sector partnership in Africa and the British Council’s global lead for partnerships with the extractive industry.
He was also the organisation’s country director in Ghana and cluster lead for West Africa. Before his job in Ghana, Mr Moses Anibaba worked in Romania where he spent three years at the British Council first as deputy Director, and later Director.
He has also worked for World Bank Projects in Central and Southern Africa. He holds an MBA from Durham University and is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK.
He is a regular speaker at youth-related conferences and board member of two organisations; one of which is the Social Enterprise Academy Africa. Mr Moses Anibaba has worked extensively in the private sector over the last 17 years.
He was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s 2013 New Year’s honour list in recognition for the work in brokering partnerships with the corporate sector in Ghana and other parts of West Africa.
