Africa-Press – Mauritius. Saudi Arabia is upgrading its General Consulate in Mauritius in the next few weeks in order to set up an Embassy which will work as a bridge to strengthening the relationship and cooperation between the two countries.

The above announcement was made by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Mauritius, Mr Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Angari, as he paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Land Transport and Light Rail, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Mr.

Alan Ganoo, this afternoon, in Port-Louis. In his statement following the meeting, Ambassador Al-Angari informed that discussions with Minister Ganoo focused on issues and projects that would contribute in enhancing the relationship between the two countries.

Mauritius as a country, and its support in international organisations, is very important to Saudi Arabia, added Mr Al-Angari. Besides, the Ambassador reiterated Saudi Arabia’s unflinching commitment to Mauritius, recalling that it has funded many projects in the country.
