Africa-Press – Mauritius. Actor Jada Pinkett Smith appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and confirmed where she and Will Smith stand in terms of their marriage. Jada appeared on the show on 28 November to talk about her memoir Worthy and briefly touched on her relationship with Will.
The host prodded Jada on her marriage, where Barrymore said, “I feel like maybe your and [Will’s] shadow separated in a way in this book, whether they stay together forever or not.
” Barrymore then added, “It sounds like you’re staying together forever. ”
“We’re staying together forever,” Jada replied.
“I tried, we tried,” she added in a half-exhausted tone, alluding to the years of separation between herself and Will.
Last month, Jada revealed that she and Will had been separated since 2016. A Hoda Kotb interview also confirmed that the two had been living “completely separate lives”.
Despite the separation, the pair had kept up the appearance of a married couple. In Worthy, Jada also shared that she had considered divorce but decided against it.
“I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce,” Jada said in an interview in October.
“We will work through whatever, and I just haven’t been able to break that promise.
Jada had also previously stated in an interview that after Will slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022, the moment re-affirmed her commitment to her husband, according to Variety.
“When I was sitting at the Oscars, it clicked in. As soon as I was like, ‘Oh snap, you hit Chris? I was like, I’m riding with you.
I didn’t come into this place as your wife, but I’m leaving here as your wife because we got a storm we’re going to have to deal with together. I am not gonna leave your side.
