Africa-Press – Mauritius. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative for Mauritius, Mrs Amanda Kabejja Serumaga, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr Sooroojdev Phokeer, today, in Port-Louis.

In a statement, Mrs Serumaga, stated that discussions with the Speaker focused on digitalising parliamentary processes through the creation of a Parliamentary Electronic Document Management System for easy storage, access and retrieval of data.

Consolidating the Parliamentary Gender Caucus was equally on the forefront, she pointed out. She reiterated the support of the UNDP to the Mauritian Government in fulfilling its mandate as regard the Parliamentary Gender Caucus and as well as to benchmark on digital transformation to enhance the Mauritian parliament.
