World Vision Hosts Safeguarding Workshop for Championship

Africa-Press – Mauritius. World Vision South Sudan, in partnership with the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), organized a Safeguarding and Child Protection Workshop for representatives of 16 participating schools (boys and girls) ahead of the 2025 Pan African Schools Championship.

The event which was held on Thursday 23rd October, attended by World Vision Country Director Mr. Mesfin Loha and SSFF Secretary General Mr. Victor Lawrence Lual, focused on promoting child safety, inclusion, and welfare in school sports. SSFF safeguarding officers Mrs. Milcah Modong and Mr. Emmanuel Lugala led sessions on reporting and protection mechanisms.

After the workshop, Mr. Abdallah Abdu Abdallah, Deputy Chairperson of the SSFF Organizing Committee, presided over the official draws for both tournaments, which will kick off on October 28, 2025, at Juba National Stadium.

Both World Vision and SSFF reaffirmed their commitment to promoting safe, inclusive, and empowering football for children across South Sudan.
