Mozambique: SENAMI prepares for the festive season

Africa-Press – Mozambique. The National Migration Service (SENAMI) is boosting inspection capacity at border crossings in Mozambique in anticipation of increased movement over the upcoming festive season.

The announcement was made in Maputo on Thursday by SENAMI spokesperson, Celestino Matsinhe.

According to Matsinhe, borders had already, in the past week, registered an increase in traffic, with around 40,000 travellers in transit, against the 37,000 in the previous week.

SENAMI calls on foreign citizens to observe the rules for entering and staying in Mozambique, under pain of sanctions including repatriation and being prohibited from entering the country in future.
