Africa-Press – Mozambique. More than 4,000 individuals in the city of Maputo sought health services for drug-use-related mental disorders last year.
This number represents about 41% of the total number of people visiting health units with similar problems countrywide.
The Secretary of State for the city of Maputo noted yesterday that alcohol and drugs intervene negatively in people’s health and social life.
Vicente Joaquim was speaking in Maputo at the launch of a national campaign to reduce the consumption of psychoactive substances and address the harm they cause.
