Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Zimpeto bus terminal has this morning seen weak movement of passengers departing for various destinations, as a result of the alleged threat of demonstrations called by digital platforms.
Until about 9:00 a.m. today, the situation was calm and with plenty of means of transport to different destinations.
But in Zimpeto wholesale market there were few sellers and buyers. Most stores and warehouses were closed, with only a few wholesalers and truckers operating.
A police presence at various points is there to guarantee order and security.
In the Zimpeto wholesale market, for example, several teams from the Protection Police, Municipal Police, Traffic Police and Rapid Intervention Unit (UIR) are on stand-by in case of rioting.
