Africa-Press – Mozambique. President Filipe Nyusi said yesterday in New York that Mozambique would continue to count on the World Bank to carry out development projects in various areas of national interest.
The statement results from the bilateral meeting that Nyusi held with the World Bank’s Managing Director for Operations, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, a meeting that also served to assess the cooperation stage, reads a note published on the head of state’s Facebook page.
“We interacted on various issues related to bilateral cooperation, but more specifically in areas such as resilience, construction and expansion of infrastructures and health,” President Nyusi notes.
Nyusi presented Mozambique’s vision on the education and empowerment of women and girls, an approach that was promptly welcomed by the World Bank, which encouraged the government to pursue it.
