Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Mozambican singer-songwriter Mr Bow was the winner of the 10th edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), specifically in the ‘Best Lusophone’ category.

It was from Texas, at one of the best African music award events, that Mr Bow carried off the award for best Portuguese-speaking artist, leaving behind the many other artists also competing.

The news was shared by the singer on his social networks, where he thanked his fans and the general public for the award.

“We woke up with a blessing for team Bawito and our fans. Once again we won the title of Best Lusophone. Thank you @afrimma for the recognition. Thank you to my fans for their usual support,” he wrote.

This award is the third for Mr Bow, who won in the same category in 2020 and 2022.

The AFRIMMA 2023 Award Show took place on the 17th of September at the prestigious Meyerson Symphony Centre in Dallas, Texas. The ceremony was a three-day event with a fashion show, AFRIMMA Pre-Party, and music panel speaking engagements.
