Africa-Press – Mozambique. Summer is increasingly making itself felt, with the National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) forecasting maximum temperatures varying from 25°C to 44°C for this Tuesday (3-11).
Among the hottest cities today, Tete tops the chart with a possible maximum temperature of 44°C, and a minimum of 27°C. Next are the cities of Nampula, Quelimane and Chimoio, with maximum temperatures of 37°C, 35°C and 35°C, and minimums of 22°C, 21°C and 25°C respectively.
The cities of Lichinga, Pemba and Beira could see maximum temperatures of 33°C, 30°C and 30°C and minimum temperatures of 18°C, 24°C and 25°C respectively.
Maputo, Xai-Xai, Inhambane and Vilankulo, in the southern region of the country, are in line for the lowest temperatures, with highs of 25°C, 25°C, 29°C and 29°C, and lows of 19°C, 22°C, 23°C and 24°C respectively.
INAM also warns of possible light rain or showers accompanied by thunderstorms in the central and northern areas of the country.
