Africa-Press – Mozambique. The President of the Assembly of the Republic [Speaker], Margarida Talapa, is to visit the Russian Federation from tomorrow until Saturday to participate in the 11th Nevsky International Ecological Congress, at the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Saint Petersburg, at the invitation of her Russian counterpart, Valentina Matvienko.
At the Nevsky International Ecological Congress, held under the motto ‘ Planet Earth: Living in Harmony with Nature”, Talapa will share experiences of the participation of Mozambican women as key agents in the management of natural resources and the protection of ecosystems.
As part of the inter-parliamentary cooperation between Mozambique and Russia, the Speaker of Parliament has also scheduled a meeting with her counterpart from the Russian Federation, in which they will review relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
