Africa-Press – Mozambique. To mark World Environment Day, Grindrod partnered with the Provincial Directorate of Territorial Development and Environment (DPTDA), led by Dra. Mariamo Luisa Pedro José, for a tree-planting and school support initiative in Goba Village, Namaacha District, Maputo Province.
Aligned with the global theme “Ending Plastic Pollution,” the event brought together local authorities, community leaders, and Grindrod employees in a joint effort to promote sustainability, education, and environmental awareness.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Manuel Tule, Governor of Maputo Province, Dra. Mariamo Luisa Pedro José director of DPTDA, and representatives from Grindrod and local contractors — reflecting a strong, collaborative commitment to sustainable rural development.
