Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Technical Commission for the National Dialogue announced this Monday in Maputo that it has begun training the ten individuals chosen to lead the process of developing proposals for the Inclusive National Dialogue, officially launched on the 10th of this month.
The training aims to ensure that members are properly aligned with the principles of the process, ensuring effective and representative contributions.
“The ten individuals are currently undergoing training, with the goal of becoming familiar with the subject matter and contributing in a more structured and informed manner to this National Dialogue process,” stated Edson Macuácua, president of the Committee for the Inclusive National Dialogue.
According to the Technical Commission, after the training phase, the proposals prepared by the individuals will initially be submitted to the committee itself, before being submitted for consideration by the process’s political leadership.
At the same time, the government is preparing to launch public consultation in the country’s provinces, aiming to ensure that the process is truly inclusive and representative of regional and social sensibilities.
“We are finalizing the preparations for the provincial consultation, which will be launched in the coming days. We want to ensure that all Mozambicans, regardless of their location, have a voice in this process,” Macuácua stressed.
The Technical Commission has also confirmed that Mozambican communities in the diaspora will also be involved in the consultation process, with specific mechanisms to be announced in due course.
The Inclusive National Dialogue is a central initiative to restore trust among various social and political actors, promoting peace, national unity and social cohesion.
