Africa-Press – Mozambique. A joint operation involving Customs, Police of the Republic of Mozambique and the Migration Services resulted in the seizure of 124.5 kilograms of hard drugs at Ressano Garcia border post, in Maputo province.
The drugs were being transported from neighbouring South Africa, camouflaged in a truck loaded with bananas, according to the authorities.
The truck driver managed to deceive the police and flee to the South African side of the border, Miramar has learned.
