Africa-Press – Mozambique. Seventeen shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG) have already been made from Area 4 of the Rovuma Basin since the beginning of the commercialization of hydrocarbons in November of last year.

The Area 4 project is operated by the consortium led by Coral Sul and includes Mozambique’s Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH) among its shareholders.

Without specifying the quantity of gas sold since the beginning of the operation, ENH chairman Estevao Pale said that the extraction of natural gas in Area 4 was proceeding satisfactorily.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of ENH was speaking in Maputo this Tuesday after signing an agreement with Millennium Bim bank to accelerate oil and gas industry projects in the country.

Under the agreement, the bank will finance training programs for small and medium-sized companies in the oil and gas sector.

President of the executive committee of Millennium Bim, João Martins, said that the agreement would boost the economic development of the country.
