Africa-Press – Mozambique. An 18-year-old girl who worked as a maid at her uncle’s house in Maxixe has been found dead a few metres from the residence.
According to local residents, the victim went out on Saturday night leaving the minors in charge of the house.
On her way back home in the early hours of Sunday morning, she was ambushed by strangers who raped and killed her.
Local residents who found the body in the morning say that signs of rape were obvious.
A team from the National Criminal Investigation Service collected the body and evidence that could be decisive in solving the case.
Meanwhile, residents are demanding increased police patrolling.
