Africa-Press – Mozambique. A modern, new cold storage logistics centre with capacity to store 2,500 tons of frozen or chilled products in bulk, or 1,200 pallets, was inaugurated in Maputo on Friday, November 3rd.
Located next to the port of Maputo, the facility was built by Afrigotel Armazenagem Frigorífica, S.A., a Mozambican company specialising in refrigerated logistics. Its first platform, in Zimpeto, started operating in 2016.
Afrigotel provides cold chain logistics solutions including storage, picking, shipping, stock management and expiry control services, with cold storage rooms for both frozen and chilled products.
This expansion gives Afrigotel total storage capacity of 6,000 tons, positioning it as a leader in Mozambique’s food preservation marketplace.
