Africa-Press – Mozambique. The National Road Administration (ANE) has reopened the suspension bridge over the Saver, restoring road traffic suspended due to the increasing water levels in the river following rain in the region and upstream.
A note from the ANE details that the opening of the bridge is conditional on observation of the measures that were in force before the start of the works, namely a maximum weight of 35 tons per vehicle, admissible load limits for each axle and the crossing of one heavy goods vehicle at a time.
The ANE has immediately suspends the circulation of vehicles on the provisional (bypass) bridge over the Save, due to the increase in water flow, which threatens to overrun the infrastructure and make crossing unsafe/
