Africa-Press – Mozambique. The annual inflation rate in Mozambique eased to 3.96% in July 2025 from a three-month high of 4.15% in the prior month.
Prices slowed down primarily for food & non-alcoholic beverages (8.99% vs 9.38% in June); health (5.14% vs 6.05%); furnishings & household equipment (4.01% vs 4.23%); and communications (0.66% vs 0.76%).
Moreover, prices declined much faster for transportation (-2.05% vs -1.17%). On a monthly basis, the CPI fell by 0.22% in July, after a 0.07% decrease in the previous month, according to Mozambique’s National Statistics Institute( Instituto Nacional de Estatistica).
