Africa-Press – Mozambique. The owners of 196 of vehicles circulating in Chókwè district, Gaza province, with foreign registration plates – and consequently without paying duties and other customs taxes due to the state – have been fined by the Tax Authority (AT), resulting in payments to the state of 8,852,013 meticais.
The 196 vehicles so far sanctioned are on a list of 359 identified in the province of Gaza during the period under analysis, according to AT delegate, Estrela Cossa.
Speaking at a press conference reporting on activities carried out over the period January to December 20, 2023, Cossa said that the institution had so far raised 1,484,704,452 meticais of a target of 1,641,427,657 meticais initially foreseen, corresponding to an execution of the annual plan in the order of 90.45%.
