Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Bank of Mozambique is hosting a temporary exhibition entitled “Ecos do Tempo” in its gallery space, from this Thursday (08-05) until December 31 of this year.

“Ecos do tempo” is a collection of 20 works by renowned Mozambican artists, including Malangatana, Bertina Lopes and Reinata Sadimba, in various forms such as painting, sculpture and ceramics. The exhibition is curated by Felisberto Thlemo and Leonardo João.

As part of the celebrations of its 50th anniversary and the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the metical as the national currency, this exhibition reinforces, as highlighted by Governor Rogério Zandamela, the central bank’s commitment to the preservation and promotion of Mozambican art and culture, associating its legacy with the country’s cultural identity.

Representing the Minister of Education and Culture, the Secretary of State for Arts and Culture, Matilde Muocha, inaugurated the exhibition, highlighting the importance of the initiative in promoting the national identity and collective history, praising the bank’s role in preserving the artistic and cultural heritage.
