Africa-Press – Mozambique. BCI – Banco Comercial e de Investimentos will host a Mozambique-Italy Business Forum on September 15th in the auditorium of its headquarters in Maputo. The meeting will bring together government representatives, businesspeople and financial institutions, to discuss investment and innovation opportunities in the agribusiness sector.

Organized by the Italian Embassy in Maputo in partnership with the Mozambique-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CCMI) and other partners, with the support of BCI, the forum will focus on economic opportunities for Italian and Mozambican companies in the agricultural sector. Its main objectives include attracting foreign direct investment, transferring agricultural technology and strengthening strategic cooperation between Mozambique and Italy.

The forum will be held under the motto: “Italy for Agribusiness in Mozambique – Growing Together with the Mattei Plan”.

The official launch of the event took place within the framework of FACIM, at a press conference attended by BCI’s director, George Mandawa.

In his speech, George Mandawa emphasized that holding this event reflects BCI’s ongoing commitment to economic development and the promotion of bilateral cooperation, especially in strategic sectors.

In June 2024, BCI hosted a similar forum to promote exchanges and the exploration of investment opportunities between Mozambican and Italian companies from various sectors, particularly energy, infrastructure, logistics, construction and agriculture.
