Africa-Press – Mozambique. Despite all the joint efforts of the justice departments in Sofala to stop feminicide, the murder of women in the city of Beira continues.
A woman’s dead body found in the city of Beira yesterday brings to toll this year alone to ten.
On Wednesday morning, residents of the Matacuane neighbourhood found the body of a young woman in a drainage ditch.
No one in the neighbourhood recognises the victim, so it is assumed that she is a resident of another neighbourhood.
Residents in the area say they did not hear any pertinent noise or see any strange movement in the area on Tuesday night.
The victim’s body was removed by firefighters and taken to the morgue at the Beira Central Hospital.
