Africa-Press – Mozambique. Mozambican businessman Hayyum Alimamade was kidnapped at gunpoint in Matola, Maputo province, at around 4:00 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday, 14-12) afternoon.
The entrepreneur owns two ‘ Vanilla Gelato Italiano’ ice-cream shops, a shopping centre in Matola and a chain of ‘Kids R Us’ stores selling children’s clothing and other items.
The kidnapping occurred outside of one of his newer ventures, a Vanilla Gelado Italiano recently opened near Builder’s Warehouse in Matola’s Fomento neighbourhood.
This is not the first kidnapping to afflict Hayyum Alimamade’s family.
Police authorities have activated their lines of operation and are following the case.
