Africa-Press – Mozambique. More than six thousand inhabitants of the administrative post of Namanhumbir, district of Montepuez, in Cabo Delgado, are on the verge of facing a food crisis, due to the bad results of the first season of the current agricultural season.
This is due to the irregular rainfall, which affected the development of crops, and a pest of snails harming plants in the germination phase, said community leader of Namanhumbir, Terenciano Dinis.
The administrative post of Namanhumbir is a potentially agricultural region that in recent years has become known worldwide with the discovery of rubies, gemstones of high commercial value.
