Casa do Agricultor is rebranded as AQI

Africa-Press – Mozambique. Casa Do Agricultor has been renamed as AQI and marked this change by opening its 14th store in Baia Mall in Maputo last Friday, 5th May 2022.

With this rebranding AQI wants to amplify its portfolio, offering a greater and more diversified range of products and services with the aim to satisfy the needs of different customers. The change of the company’s image and name affirms the expansion of its interest to fishing industry, which would allow to reach the greater number of Mozambicans.

The opening and rebranding ceremony was attended by AQI partners, customers and suppliers. They had a chance to see the premises of the largest store of agricultural and fishing products in Mozambique.

Rui Brandão, the CEO of the company, took the opportunity to announce the brand’s new concept saying that “AQI intends to strengthen its position on the local market, taking the advantage of their vast experience in Mozambique, and will continue to contribute to the development of the main national production sectors”.

The new store reflects the company’s desire to represent the national producers. “AQI believes that in order to have a good harvest it is compulsory to have quality seeds, adequate technical advice and equipment. That’s why we want all our customers to feel that AQI is their home”, stressed Mr Brandão.

Bemdito Dineasse, a farmer who has a long relationship with the company, talked about a successful partnership and said that with this rebranding and the increase in products and services, AQI will stimulate the rural economy and integrate communities in the sustainable development of value chains. “I have been in contact with AQI since 2014. I started as a small farmer and six years ago I was promoted to become an agro-dealer. Today, with great pride, I can say that I went all the way from being a small producer to becoming an entrepreneur. The company is growing and the difference is remarkable. AQI started selling animal feed and in my opinion this is another opportunity to start a new business dedicated to raising chickens”, said the farmer.

The brand’s new positioning aims to reach the entire country, focusing on a policy of expansion and greater proximity to customers in its three main areas of activity: agriculture, livestock and fishing.

The AQI brand wants to contribute to the sustainable development of the country, improving the quality of life of Mozambicans through a strong commitment to quality products that can reach everyone.

With the opening of the new store, located in one of the main commercial centres in Maputo, the company has more than 100 employees in 14 stores across the country. It also has an unique distribution network in the various provinces, made up of more than 250 agro-dealers. This allows AQI to reach the most remote places, an asset in a country the size of Mozambique.
