Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Council of Ministers on Tuesday (July 27) determined that it will permit direct awarding for acquiring any goods and services necessary to meet needs resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The Government considered and approved the decree that revises that of nº 5/2016, of 8 March, which approves the Regulation for Contracting Public Works, Supply of Goods and Provision of Services.
This decree establishes the legal regime of direct exceptional contracting with manufacturers of goods and service providers, as a way to combat and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 and is applied to the acquisition of medicines, hospital equipment, health products and other equipment, to meet the needs arising from the Situation of Public Calamity, during its duration, by the Health sector,” Council of Ministers spokesperson Filmão Suaze explained.
