According to the note from the Presidency of the Republic, the Head of State will address the Covid-19 situation in the country.
The Head of State last addressed the nation on the Covid-19 situation on 13 August, at a time when the country registered a cumulative 137,413 infections, of which 116,945 had recovered, with 1,690 deaths, The country had, at that time, 18,774 active cases of Covid-19.
On 13 August, Filipe Nyusi announced that he would speak again about the Covid-19 situation in 15 days.
From then on, 7,055 new coronavirus cases were diagnosed and 13,320 more recoveries reported.
In these 13 days, 135 persons died of Covid-19 in Mozambique.
Active coronavirus cases in the country currently stand at 6,400 and the Covid-19 death toll at 1.825.
