Africa-Press – Mozambique. Dutch full-back Denzel Dumfries scored twice as Inter Milan beat Atalanta 2-0 on Thursday to qualify for the Italian Super Cup final.

In the Riyadh semifinal, Dumfries scored the opener in the 49th minute as the 28-year-old’s overhead kick beat Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

On a counterattack in the 61st minute, Dumfries scored again for Inter, unleashing a fierce shot that clipped the crossbar before going inside the net.

Then following a scramble in the Inter box, Atalanta’s Ederson scored, but it was denied by the video assistant referee (VAR). A teammate of Ederson was caught offside in the Inter area.

Head coach Simone Inzaghi’s Inter won the game 2-0 at Al-Awwal Park to reach the final, where they will take on either Juventus or archrivals AC Milan on Jan. 6 in Riyadh.

The Juventus vs. Milan semifinal fixture will be played on Friday night at Al-Awwal Park.
