Africa-Press – Mozambique. Mocímboa da Praia Rural Hospital in Cabo Delgado will soon benefit from emergency rehabilitation in response to the growing demand for health care by residents returning to the district, Rádio Moçambique reports.
The information was advanced by District Administrator Sérgio Cipriano, who said the plan will have the support of partners of the district government, and will consist of specific interventions in those [hospital] buildings that have suffered relatively minor damage.
Cipriano said that the challenge this year was also to resume and complete the expansion and rehabilitation works of the Mocímboa District Hospital, the largest health unit in the district, works which were suspended several years ago due to lack of funds.
Cipriano said that partners were also being sought to finance the rehabilitation of the local Health Training Institute, also damaged by the terrorists.
