Africa-Press – Mozambique. The government has approved changes to the Regulation of the Specific Regime of Taxation and Tax Benefits for Mining Activity.
The amendment to articles 4, 7, 8, 11, 15 and 28 of the regulation aims to clarify the mechanisms for determining the value of the mining product and introduces the obligation to indicate the specifications of the ore and attach the production report for settlement purposes.
The document also intends to emphasise the prerogative of the tax administration, proceed with the additional settlement, adjust the ISS (Social Security) rates to those provided for by law and clarify the procedures for determining the taxable amount.
The change in the legal regime also aims at specifying the prerogative to supervise sales, regardless of where they occur and regulate the permission to use accounting in US dollars.
