Africa-Press – Mozambique. The information was provided by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, this Tuesday (20) during the presentation of the Annual Report on the State of the Nation – 2022.
According to Nyusi, a group of terrorists on Monday (19) tried to attack the village of Mondlane, in Nangade district, with the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) promptly repelling the terrorists and putting out of fight some members of the group that for five years has been destroying lives and infrastructure in Cabo Delgado.
Without giving further details, Nyusi said that “we will continue to fight terrorism,” having then congratulated the work that is being carried out by the Local Forces, mostly composed of former combatants who, in the President’s understanding, came to alleviate the work of the FDS, who have started to worry about more complex aspects.
