Africa-Press – Mozambique. France aims to enhance cooperation with Mozambique in the areas of science, technology, and higher education.
This intention was expressed on Tuesday in Maputo by the Cooperation and Cultural Action Counselor at the French Embassy in Mozambique.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Mozambique, Laurent Perez-Vidal stated that the initiative aims to facilitate the acquisition of scholarships for higher education students in the country.
The diplomat also mentioned that there is currently a dialogue between the French Embassy and the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Higher Education to negotiate agreements for this purpose.
The Cooperation and Cultural Action Counselor at the French Embassy in Mozambique made these remarks in the context of the upcoming fair named ‘Studying in France,’ starting tomorrow.
Laurent Perez-Vidal mentioned that the event will address, among other things, the perspectives and challenges of internationalizing higher education in the country.
Currently, the Global Program for Education and Human Rights, with the support of the French Embassy, is disbursing $107 million for the development of the education sector in Mozambique.
