Africa-Press – Mozambique. This Wednesday, November 24th, a Mozambican delegation headed by Governor of Maputo province, Júlio Parruque, travelled from Lisbon to Oporto for an executive business and exchange of experience visit.
Meetings were held with entrepreneurs from various fields of interest in Portugal and various countries around the world, with the aim of attracting investment to the province of Maputo and to Mozambique generally.
On the way to Oporto, the Mozambican delegation was received by a high-level team from the Municipality of Entroncamento, in the central part of the country.
During his visit to Entroncamento, Júlio Parruque presented his hosts with several “Made In Mozambique” gifts, in addition to sponsoring the signing of a memorandum between the municipality and the association of young European entrepreneurs.
Also on Wednesday, Governor Parruque addressed a sizeable audience of Portuguese, Angolan, German and other European, African and Asian businesspeople at the Oporto Catholic University, where he showcased the potential of Maputo province and the opportunities that this part of the country offers investors.
Parruque invited those present to invest in the province of Maputo and in Mozambique generally, highlighting its rapid growth, with young people especially willing to increase their level of knowledge in all areas.
Also part of the Mozambican delegation on the three-day visit, in addition to the Governor of Maputo province Júlio Parruque, are Provincial Director of Transport and Communications, Paulo Cossa, Provincial Director of Industry and Commerce, Pedro Manhice and Administrator of Marracuene District, Shafee Sidat.
