Africa-Press – Mozambique. Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) in Cabo Delgado this weekend detained a citizen for murdering his wife and three-year-old stepdaughter with a machete.
According to police spokesman Mario Adolfo, the murderer, whose identity was not revealed, decided to kill the two because his partner allegedly asked for a divorce.
“He waited for them to fall asleep before attacking them with a machete. He allegedly murdered his stepdaughter because he spent a lot of money to raise her. According to him, the girl was still a baby when he joined his partner,” said Adolfo.
Another citizen is being sought by the authorities in Cabo Delgado for murdering his father with a machete in Mueda. Spokesman Mario Adolfo said the man objected to his family’s proposal to take his sick wife to a traditional doctor.
