Africa-Press – Mozambique. This afternoon, around 1 pm, in downtown Maputo, a businessman had a terrifying experience when he escaped an attempted kidnapping.
Witnesses told TV Sucesso that the criminals, in the number of three, were armed during the incident..
During the criminal action, the victim was injured by a shot fired by one of the kidnappers. Fortunately, he was rescued and taken to a hospital for medical care.
People who witnessed the incident expressed outrage at the apparent inaction of the police.
Some witnesses accuse the authorities of having done nothing to prevent the kidnapping, claiming that the police just observed the scene without intervening. The community is perplexed and demands answers about the effectiveness of security measures.
